If your holiday season is only about Christmas, then you will be missing out! This is our first annual Festivus and Winter Solstice Celebration. We are going to have too much fun, munchies and music, many activities and contests, and of course, the traditional Airing of Grievances, and many Feats of Strength! This will serve also as an opportunity to support our Community Radio station by offering a chance to dine with some of our favorite local celebrities by bidding on them in our first Celebrity DJ Auction. Who do you know that will join in on the bidding?
All guests are invited to wear fun clothes, holiday or jester hats, or come in full costume as Santa, or one of his Elves, Tinkerbell, or a Superhero, or something in-between. Tights, capes, and face or body paint invited. Some that can be expected besides characters in costume; various artists, jugglers, magicians, jesters, and maybe a few freaks. Bright colors and provocative dress will be the code for the evening.
If you juggle,...BRING IT!
This -is- an adult event, and a private party, not open to the public.
The doors open at 5:45pm ...and will close at 10:45pm.
After 8pm, 21 & over only please.
Alcohol may be consumed, but will -not- be served by the host.
Also, let's burn the tobacco outside, and keep us SMOKEFREE.
We still need more holiday decorations, and food/drink.
Let me know if you can help please.
Again, this is a private party, but many, probably you, are welcome.
We are hosting the Party at The Phoenix Inn Banquet Room
on 'Hosptital Hill', Downtown Bend on Franklin
between the Parkway and Bond.
Your contribution of $20 will cover the music and the munchies and all other costs.
Monies will be accepted at the door, but will be happily received at the station this weekend. Make checks to Ron Boozell, and deliver to my mailbox near the Newsroom.
Be prepared to procure many $1, $5, & $10 chips for the various activities including the Auction Fundraiser. Monies raised at the Auction will be donated to KPOV
We are proud to announce that Photographer Clyde Keller will be taking posed photos throughout the evening for a donation of $10.
Photos will be available for pickup at KPOV the following week.
No reservations needed. First come, first served.
